WHAT IS PLAY FIGHTING?
Er*tic Play fighting begins again after a pause! Tied in with safer space practices and consent culture, play fighting explores physical intimacy and power play with a whimsical approach. It toys with the ideas of conflict, fear and animal instinct. It is fun and real, sweaty and sweet, rough and gentle. There is no right way to do it and no official rules other than those made by the minds and bodies in play.
Helsinki Play Fight Club is a non-profit group of playfighters with the aim of fostering er0tic play fight culture in the capital area. Its members have plenty of combined experience in s3nsual workshops, group play and guided explorations of s3xuality, including the introduction of the very first play fight workshops in this city.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE EVENT?
We’ll start with a discussion on the topic for those without earlier experience in play fighting, but also veterans are free to participate in the newbie info. Then we take it straight to the mat!
The practical sessions begin with warm-up exercises and safety drills where we learn about consent, intensity and intention as well as about communicating personal preferences so that the amount of force and sexuality in play can be adjusted accordingly.
After a short break we will form a ring and wrestle in turns, observing and experimenting with different approaches. Play fighting can be playful and cuddly, sweaty and hard or horny and ravishing!
Please note that there might be some nudity or sexual play in the workshop, but it is not required. The explicit purpose is to play with more or less simulated violence, so if you find that triggering, this might not be for you. This Play Fight Club session is a beginner-friendly introduction to this wonderful activity, and will likely leave you wanting for more. Helsinki PFC has long been aiming to organize a monthly club, and we will continue to strive towards that goal.
